Objective

Code3 was chosen by Facebook to work with PEN America, a non-partisan policy think tank to create and distribute awareness around misinformation and disinformation leading up to the election.  The goal of this partnership was for Code3 to help PEN America reach Americans with powerful messages that could lead to a smoother, more informed election.

Strategy

The Code3 team developed thematic content built around how people experience misinformation and disinformation. The dynamic ads ran across Facebook and Instagram in the form of carousels, IG stories, and in-feed videos. Through graphics and animation, Code3 was able to take simple brand guidelines and turn them into dynamic social advertising assets. Beyond raising awareness, Code3 also leveraged social ads to provide practical tools for people to spot, check, and stop the spread of misinformation. These were incredibly complicated stories to tell especially in 15 seconds or less.
